This Cards Against Formality server stores its card data in a MongoDB database. The script to seed the database is available in this repository under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), just like Cards Against Humanity itself.
Cards Against Formality shows cards in the player's own language. The translated cards are adapted from Cards Against Humanity cards (cardsagainsthumanity.com), which are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Adapted from Cards Against Humanity cards; adaptations released under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
Changes made: each card was translated and adapted for players in that language by Playable for Cards Against Formality, with machine assistance. Some references were swapped for local equivalents, so an adapted card can differ in meaning from the original. These adaptations are a beta and have not been reviewed by native speakers. Languages: German, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Hindi, Ukrainian, Swedish, Czech, Romanian and Filipino, as each one is released.
Under the ShareAlike terms, anyone may reuse these adaptations on the same CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 terms, with attribution. We add no further restrictions. They are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as set out in the license.
Cards and questions written by Cards Against Formality itself, and their translations, are not derived from Cards Against Humanity and are not covered by this license. They are kept in separate files from the adapted Cards Against Humanity cards.
